Update: Aaron Hernandez Brain Had Severe Signs Of CTE. Brain Scans Released (Pics)

Source  –  Aaron Hernandez’s lawyer says the former NFL player’s brain showed severe signs of the degenerative brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

In a news conference at his offices, attorney Jose Baez said testing showed that Hernandez had Stage 3 CTE, with Stage 4 being the highest.

Baez also said a federal lawsuit against the NFL and the New England Patriots on behalf of Hernandez’s daughter was filed Thursday afternoon.

CTE can be caused by repeated head trauma and leads to symptoms like violent mood swings, depression and other cognitive difficulties. Hernandez killed himself in April in the jail cell where he was serving a life-without-parole sentence for a 2013 murder. His death came just hours before the Patriots visited the White House to celebrate their latest Super Bowl victory.

How many people affected by the Hernandez murders do you think will sue, The NFL, Patriots, Their Medical Staff, Robert Kraft, Miami U.

Odin Lloyd’s family, Hernandez fiance and her family.  The other guys he murdered and their family members etc….

This could be a real pain in the ass for the NFL to have an unretired player killing the shit out of people and acting insane is way different than Dave Duerson, Jr Seau, ETC who were out of the game for years when they killed themselves.

To have an active player displaying dangerous behavior due to the violence of the game changes everything in as far as how the NFL handles CTE going forward.

Update.  Hernandez’s Brain scans were released this morning.
