Tom is a certified badass. At almost 100, with his wife Joyce by his side, Tom left Victoria Park in London, Ont. to complete his 100-mile walk to raise money for homeless veterans. The walk he originally planned was going to be 100km, but because he’s a damn legend he extended it to 100 MILES! I get winded going to get the mail. He could totally kick my ass.

Tom, from London, Ont. served in the Royal Air Force (RAF). He logged over 200 hours in the “Super Marine Spitfire” fighter over the North Atlantic, England, Mediterranean and Italy during World War II. He is walking 100 kilometers to help those still here. Many of those kilometers will be logged publicly while looping Victoria Park. Each step will be a fundraiser for homeless veterans. Tom reflected on those not so fortunate.
“My brother didn’t come back. And I remembered Gill didn’t come back, Bill didn’t come back, Mac and Jake didn’t come back.”
At the time of me writing this, the fundraiser was just over $30,000.00. While I continue to write and refresh, 197 people have donated since we tweeted it out on our socials and it has exploded over $36,000.00 because you guys are amazing people.
You can help here.
“The fundraising is still going until November so people can still contribute,” said Hennessy. “I thank everybody who has helped. It’s a walk for a gratitude for this country, for what we have, and for the people that are here. It’s saying thank you to veterans.”
If seditious “Freedumb” rally chuds can raise $20+M dollars, Tommy deserves that ten-fold. Please donate if you can to a real Freedom Fighter raising money for a REAL issue.
