‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a single wager was placed, no clicks from Josh’s mouse.
A full slate of football games but nobody could care,
I mean, how could you, when you have to watch the Chicago Bears?
NBA fans laid cozy and snuggled in their beds,
With visions of Giannis dunking on Tatum’s head.
And the Knicks playing so well? Giving up so little losses?
How can you cheer for the Sixers and continue to ‘Trust The Process’?
I could barely sleep, I was up at the break of day,
I couldn’t wait to see the Grizzlies beat Poole, Dray and Klay.
“CHRISTMAS IS HERE!” I exclaimed, as I raced down the stairs,
I was wiggling with excitement, just like Anthony Davis’ unibrow hairs.
Snow on the ground, family all around, presents under the tree,
“Quick, where’s the remote? We’re missing the NBA on TNT!”
Lakers and the Suns getting caught in a ‘half-court trap’,
Jokic triple double, Luka dropping 50, I say to you, “There ain’t no cap.”
Merry Christmas everyone. Every year we break down our favorite spreads across all 5 matchups on Christmas Day. So, here’s our little stocking stuffers for you to follow along with on the 25th.
Game 1: Philadelphia 76ers vs. New York Knicks (12pm)
Pick: Knicks +4 (-117) – Best Odds: Sports Interaction
The Knicks have one 8 of their last 10. In spite of losing their last 2 they head into Christmas Day hosting the Sixers in the garden. When Philly is on, they’re on. Their two star players in Embiid and Harden put up monster lines against the Clippers on Friday. Embiid notched 44/7/3 while Harden put together a jaw dropping triple-double with 20/11/21 (that’s right, 21 assists).
That all being said, give me the Knicks on the spread. I feel as if this will be tight and New York has the bigs to neutralize Embiid. The knicks have found their chemistry after a sluggish start. They may not win outright, but 4 points could be enough to get the job done.
Game 2: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Dallas Mavericks (2:30pm)
Pick: Mavs -4.5 (-118) – Best Odds: Sports Interaction
This feels like an absolute steal at -4.5 points for the Mavs as most books have them at -7 (which I’d still take). They’re simply the better team and the Lakers are without Anthony davis. LA also has some ‘gametime-decision’ and it looks like LeBron could have aggravated his groin, despite not having an official injury report. When it comes to Luka, expect him to do Luka type things and post an impressive line against a broken Lakers squad.
Game 3: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics (5pm)
Pick: Celtics -3.5 (-110) – Best Odds: Sports Interaction
Easily the best game of the day and the one we’re most excited for. This is almost a pick em’ as both teams sit atop the East. Giannis and Tatum are leading the MVP leaderboards so expect an all-out duel. We decided to go with Boston because they’re playing at home and they have a more complete roster at this time. Giannis has been playing out of his mind lately. My guess is that he’s shouldering a little more of a load with the absence/inconsistent play of Middleton (due to injuries). It could go either way, but we’re rolling with Boston.
After taking off the last month we return with our latest episode, dedicating it to our dear friend Jeff Beaton.
In Jeff fashion, we covered his Bengals and weighed in on all 5 #Christmas games.

Game 4: Memphis Grizzlies vs. Golden State Warriors (8pm)
Pick: Grizzlies +5 (-124) – Best Odds: Sports Interaction
This must be a mistake on Sports Interaction’s part as they have favored the Warriors with Steph Curry out and the squad severely under-performing this season. All other books have the Grizzlies favored by 5 (which I’d still take). Sports Interaction seems to have most of the best NBA odds this Christmas so feel free to group the first 4 games in a parlay. As for as the game goes, this is a no-brainer as we expect the Grizzlies to take care of business.
Game 5: Phoenix Suns vs. Denver Nuggets (10:30pm)
Pick: Nuggets -2 (-111) – Best Odds: Bet Rivers
A different book! Bet Rivers has to be one of our preferred books and our preferred pick is the Nuggets by 2. Jokic is putting up better numbers than his last 2 MVP seasons, which is unheard of. The Suns don’t seem to be in sync, turmoil on the bench and with the coaching staff. The Nuggets are completely healthy and Phoenix has question marks going into the game. Not to mention, Denver being one of the toughest places to play and travel to in regards to the altitude, we like the home team for this one.
