Well isn’t this exciting.

I watched the highlights of lasts nights game and it didn’t look as desolate at the Rogers Center.
If you’re like me and you haven’t looked at a Blue Jays box score or checked the standings in a while, they’re shit.
They”re 10 games out and the only reason people are going to the games is Vlad Jr or for a nice day out.
Perfect time to call up one of Vlad’s bestie, uber-prospect, and son of a HOF’r Cavan Biggio.
He’s like Eric Sogard, only good. REALLY good.
The #BlueJays are reportedly calling up Cavan Biggio, who is hitting .307/.445/.504 through 42 games with @BuffaloBisons, to make his #MLB debut. Here's the scouting report on the @BlueJays’ No. 9 prospect:: https://t.co/fUmBi3oz3c pic.twitter.com/74roOPN7kT

He has a .445 on-base and .949 OBPS and he draws a SHITPILE of walks. He was 3rd in the minors last year in passes. He’s not a terrific fielder but he’s solid.
It’ll create some excitement. His Dad, Craig Biggio will spend some time in Toronto, so that’ll be cool.
I think I’d be happier if Mark Shapiro Left. Everything seems tainted because he’s still here. The question is for how long?
Shi Davidi who carries the company torch proudly wrote a couple of interesting things this week that made me wonder if Shapiro is on his way out.
Once again, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., had played six games in a row when #BlueJays gave him a scheduled rest day yesterday, frustrating fans and raising questions as to why he needs down time: https://t.co/KYPaWRcdIC

The first post question WTF the Blue Jays were doing by saying everyone but him was pissed about Vlad not playing is hilarious, It’s like old boss telling me not to use the word ‘douche-bag’ because he had 50 complaints and when I asked to see them he said he erased them all. Shifting accountability to achieve the goal of delivering a message.
Just before I left The Fan, I joked about a piece Shi wrote about the Blue Jays missing out on every free agent wrote and called it ‘ Company Spin’. Shi’s position (and I think Shi’s a great writer and have no agenda here, btw) was the Blue Jays had a great offseason because they had lots of flexibility going forward (don’t quote me but it was along those lines). I just had an opinion on Shi and disagreed with his article.
Shi refused to ever come on the show again telling me that he’s built this reputation over 20 years and I wasn’t going to ruin it. I apologized profusely and he may have had a right to be pissed. I thought it was petty but it was a MAJOR issue.
Weird. I left shortly after that.
My point is, Shi wouldn’t write a piece questioning the Blue Jays if it wasn’t OK.
It wasn’t over complementary and fell a little bit of ‘journalistic courage’ short of reading more like a rebuke.
Shapiro has been a goddamned GHOST this year. Like more of a ghost than he’s been over the past 4 years and the team is paying 50 million in dead salary. Throw in the fact they are pure shit and everyone here hates him, I have some serious questions about whether or not, Mr. Shapiro is long for this city.
What’s also weird is he hasn’t tweeted since he got here. For a regular Tweeter, that only means one thing: Dude’s having a shit time and needs to leave. Honest. Nothing personal. No forehead jokes. Just go, dude. Please. You’re just not one of us and that’s ok. You clearly don’t want to be. Paul did. He probably still does. Just give him the keys and take over the Princeton Alumni dinner.

What’s also noticeable in my forensic breakdown of a couple of Shi Davidi bits? Not one mention of Mark. Zero.
Now that’s bizarre. Stick with me.
Rogers definitely drives the messaging of all things Blue Jays including on their platforms. TV, Radio, etc. Some guys have some leeway but most don’t. Or at least didn’t when I was there. It’s understandable as it’s a HUGE part of their ecosystem.
But I’m officially on Red Alert for the return of our man Alex Anthopolous. You should be too.
I’ve heard on more than one occasion Mr. Shaprio’s lack of interest in this city and getting involved in the community is an issue too.
I could care less if he lives on the fucking moon.
He hasn’t done a very good job and he doesn’t seem overly interested so whatever dude. Just go.
