Conor McGregor was arrested, again. The Champ-Champ is on charges of strong-armed robbery, a second-degree felony, and criminal mischief, a third-degree felony, per the arrest affidavit obtained by MMA Fighting.
Sounds pretty bad, huh? Those are all very technical terms for what happened. But in lamens terms, what happened was a fan tried to take a photo of McGregor, he snapped and slapped the phone out the dude’s hand.
McGregor then went into pure UFC mode and ensured the KO by stomping the phone unconscious. After securing the KO, he then picked up the damaged phone and walked away with it. It’s not great. But it’s not like he threw a dolly through someone’s car window. Am I right?
Listen. I’m not sure what happened. But at first glance, it sounds pretty shitty. A fan tried to take a picture and had his phone demolished by someone he looked up to. But we don’t know.
Conor McGregor is also known for being hell-a-gracious to his fans. He typically goes out of his way to show his fans the same love he receives. So it’s just as likely the “fan” was being a dick and fucked with a dude that punches other dudes in the face for a living. It’s like this whole Jaguar situation. Don’t fuck with a jungle cat, and then get mad when the jungle cat does jungle cat shit.
But again. We don’t know. So I’m not going to jump to conclusions on either side. But let’s not make Conor McGregor into a criminal. Even though he technically is.
First thing Conor McGregor did when he got out jail last night?
