For the past few months, I’ve canvassed reporters and MSM folks who sit in these press conference rooms. We have a PILE of TV, Print, and Radio people who hit us up for information, and I have a silent (not anymore) policy: I’ll help anyone who helps me. I wanted to know why Doug Ford never gets asked questions we want answers to. I wanted to know how Ivana Yelich, Doug Ford’s Press Secretary arranges these, and what the pecking order is. I wanted to know who gets to ask which questions and if they are pre-screened. I wanted to know if these press conferences millions of Ontarians use to gauge their next pandemic steps were real or total bullshit.
The answer? They are almost all, total bullshit and totally fixed in favor of the premier and the ruling party. Totally. To understand why and how you need some backstory and we should get to know, Toronto Sun Rage Farmer, Brian Lilley.

Brian Lilley was just a simple, alt-right conservative before he became a rage-farming pretend journalist. Brian helped start Rebel news with 8 other fucking morons 10 years ago – Brian Lilley is as alt-right and he was totally for sale when he left Ottawa to join The Sun.
BTW, his partners at REBEL included Doug Ford, noted crackhead Jordan Peterson and Gavin McInnes, founder of terror group “The Proud Boys”.
The Sun is run by Rob Ford’s former press secretary Adrienne Batra, and she’s a VERY close friend of Doug Ford. Adrienne magically hired Brian Lilley 3 years ago and Brian is living with Doug Ford’s press secretary Ivana Yelich. Doug needed someone to run his disinformation campaign and Brian was a blunt instrument who just HAPPENED to be dating Doug’s braindead press secretary, so yeah. Here we are.

Yesterday’s Covid presser did it for me. Brian was magically given a front-row seat where he sat mask-less and got to ask a series of anti-mask anti mandate questions of CMOH Kieran Moore.

According to several reporters in that room, here’s how Doug and Ivana curate a more favorable outcome from these press conferences.
- Ivana is smart. When she arrives she moves the reporter’s names around on a cue. “Friendlies” are moved to the top of the board, and “Un-friendlies” are moved to the bottom. The “friendly’ reporters from ‘friendly’ MSM outlets get to ask questions but in most cases, Ivana has already communicated with the ‘friendly’ reporter as to the content of their question, so, she knows.
This isn’t new in politics but Brian and the Toronto Sun are the flies in the ointment where Doug Ford is concerned.
2. Brian not only gets prime-time seating and dibs on questions, but he and Ivana also use those questions to spin bullshit for the Conservative party and Doug Ford. It’s a concerted effort to not only mislead readers of Canada’s shittiest alt-right newspaper, Brian Lilley is an agent of Doug Ford’s policies charged with curating a favorable outcome for his girlfriend’s boss. He’s not a reporter. He’s part of a propaganda campaign against the people of Ontario and he gets paid by The Sun to do it.
3. The less accountable Doug Ford has to be for the lives and well-being of the people who swore an oath to protect, the better.
That’s why Ivana ranks friendlies while feeding Brian info for tomorrow’s story about how rapid tests don’t really work the day after The Toronto Star posted a story about Doug gifting all the rapid tests to his friend’s kids’ private schools because he didn’t give a fuck about loser kids in public schools.
Or when he basically banned mask-wearing and vaccine mandates to please his Qanon spitting daughters and his red-necked, mouth-breathing anti-vax base. Every time Doug’s decision-making or a new con/grift comes out, Ivana’s boyfriend writes a piece suggesting Doug Ford is right and the rest of us (90%) are fucked. It’s magic. Sometimes she helps too but she’s too stupid to get that right.

She tried to help blunt the “Doug gave all the free rapid tests to his friends” story with two tweets. In the first tweet, she suggests those pesky 80% accurate RATs don’t even work…
and in her next tweet, she bragged about how many of those garbage RATs she and her boss gave out to prove how much they really care. Both have no context and both are total lies. 
Where Ivana fails, Brian tries to succeed, but by virtue of their relationship he fails because you literally can’t take anything he says seriously. Why? Those aren’t really his words. They are the Doug’s strategist’s (Corey’s) words filtered to Ivana who then gives them to Brian to blend up in a fugazi story for the Toronto Sun. Rinse, repeat.
When Brian’s busy, Ivana moves the journalist board around. Rinse, repeat.
Dougie has friendlies everywhere. Every politician/political party does. They are only interested in curating power to serve their relationships and Doug, to his credit, is really good at it. He knows he’s one MAJOR story away from being investigated for about 100 different things and he knows there’s a Convoy Inquiry still to come. It’s never been more important for Doug or Ontario Conservatives to stay in power. Not to mention all the construction contracts another term as premier will satisfy. He has people, too.
- That’s why these things are fixed.
- That’s why no one ever holds him accountable.
- That’s why he seems to skate when 4,4 billion in COVID relief money goes missing.
- That’s why we STILL aren’t masking our kids despite 125 k daily infections.
Public servants are supposed to serve the public. Media was supposed to hold elected officials to account, not help them lie.
Assume everything Doug says is a lie. Assume Everything Brian Lilley and Ivana Yelich tell us is a lie and you’ll be fine. There’s a 90% chance you’ll be right if you do that 100% of the time.
A friend of mine who knows Brian asked why I’m hard on him and this government. I thought about it for a while and came up with this:
I fucking HATE duplicity in all forms. Brian is the most duplicitous fuck in Media. I also HATE unfair. Lying about everything and then lying when you get caught is unfair to all of us. All that hatred is balanced out by how much I LOVE leveling the playing field for those of us who’ve been fucked over by elites and powerful people who use dark arts to crush the marginalized for external gain.
I don’t think transparency from elected officials and MSM is too much to ask for when we fucking pay for it so I’ll spend the next few months making sure you know these people and understand their serial killer values.
It’s my civic duty.
