Last year after #TheLOCKERROOM Rockin’ All Request New Years’ Eve Party myself, Grant and James P. White went outside and fired Roman candles at each other.
Were we drunk?
Is this safe?
Is it smart?
Did I light myself on fire last year?
Bobby Fireworks needs a new shirt.
Wait for it…😂😉 pic.twitter.com/glQmRRvO6d

It took place in the 2nd hour of the new year, and it was probably the most fun I had in 2021.
On my way home from work yesterday I went back to the same fireworks store. They wouldn’t sell me Roman Candles this year.
The owner is sick of dealing with complaints from the City of Edmonton, so he has stopped selling the extremely easy to hold in your hand, light, and fire at your friends…Roman Candles.
Why is the city trying to stop a 51-year-old man with a minor drinking problem from firing fireworks at his friends?
Because they know better?
Because they’re smarter than us?
STOP…JUST STOP…EVERYONE NEEDS TO JUST F’ing STOP. Let us make our own decisions. Let us make our own mistakes. Let us live our lives. You are not going to make us smarter…I went back to the fucking store to buy MORE this year.
Talk about wading out of your lane. if I want to buy fireworks to shoot at my friends on a live radio show, that is exactly what I’ll do.
It reminded me of a street in Edmonton (I think they’ve since fixed the issue when it went viral) with 220 warning/street signs in less than a 3 km stretch. More overkill.
This isn’t an issue unique to Edmonton. This is a cultural problem. We cannot get out of our own way. And it applies to everything NOT just fireworks and road signs.
BTW…fire me a note if you know where a guy can buy Roman Candles AND join #TheLOCKERROOM at 8 pm tonight for another Rockin’ All Request New Years Ever Party (link to listen/watch live below)!
Tomorrow night Loc & James are wrapping up 2021 with an all request live show! Tune in 8pm-1am for the commercial free show. Powered by JT's Bar & Grill. pic.twitter.com/BYqZeFzZoo
