This year Linkin Park’s debut album “Hybrid Theory” will mark its 20th anniversary. Fun fact, Hybrid Theory was actually the band’s name once Chester Bennington joined sometime in early 1999 and represented their combining of musical styles. The addition of Chester Bennington truly defined the band when he joined Mike Shinoda and Brad Delson’s project Xero, which they started back in High School in 1996.

Chester Bennington quickly became regarded as one of the best screaming vocalists for his performance on the record. Well, this year the album will celebrate its 20th anniversary. It was released on October 24th, 2000.
Below, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, and Dave Farrell react to a video from the first tour. They give you the specifics right at the start, but it’s worth noting that the venue they played ended in “bar & grill”. The early 2000s can be a little cringy when it comes to nu-metal ‘fashion’. Check it out, it’s never been released until they did this video with their reactions and thoughts.
