They finally did it. The House select committee is calling on the Cheeto-in-Chief to tell his side of the story. While not unprecedented, it’s incredibly rare for a congressional committee to compel the testimony of a former United States President. Arguably, the entire Presidency of Donald Trump was filled with many rare, unprecedented moves. At the end of the 9th sitting of this committee, it was voted on unanimously to issue Trump a subpoena. This is also the final hearing prior to the mid-term elections.
“We are obligated to seek answers directly from the man who set this all in motion, and every American is entitled to the answers, so we can act now to protect our republic.” – Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, the panel’s top Republican.
Trump Knew He Lost, But was Too EMBARRASSED to Admit Defeat
Cassidy Hutchinson, the former top aide to Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, provided new testimony to the committee relaying anecdotes of Trump acknowledging he had lost the election. Hutchinson’s testimony had been some of the most damning against Trump during the summer hearings, as she provided detailed accounts about Trump’s actions on the day of January 6.
On Thursday, the committee showed new video deposition from Hutchinson where she spoke to Meadows about Trump’s January 2021 call where he urged the Georgia secretary of state to “find” the votes he needed to win. “I remember looking at Mark, and I said ‘Mark, he can’t possibly think we’re going to pull this off. Like, that call was crazy.’ And he looked at me and just started shaking his head. And he’s like, ‘No, Cass, you know, he knows it’s over. He knows he lost. But we’re going to keep trying,’” Hutchinson told the committee.
Hutchinson also said that she witnessed a conversation between Meadows and Trump where he was furious the Supreme Court had rejected a lawsuit seeking to overturn the election result. “The President said … something to the effect of, ‘I don’t want people to know we lost, Mark. This is embarrassing. Figure it out. We need to figure it out. I don’t want people to know that we lost,’” Hutchinson said.
It’s yet to be seen if this Committee will survive the mid-term elections. It’s pretty gross when justice has a clock to race against, but America gonna America…. Here’s hoping they see this process to the end. Their democracy is counting on it. Social media is already exploding with bots, calling it a sham. Some are even trying to say Pelosi was in on it. You can’t write this shit.

What about Trump? Oh he’s already grifting off of it. Wild times hahaha!
Trump solicits cash right after the January 6 committee votes to subpoena him and tells supporters he's fighting for their 'heritage' https://t.co/Ld3KVZFqEr Trump claims he is very wealthy, but has anyone noticed trump tries to get others to pay his legal bills etc.?

Even if the committee survives, don’t expect much. Anyone who still even remotely has their lips sewn to Trump’s rancid asshole has plead the 5th so far. The only thing I am praying for is his ego to override legal advice. Odds are pretty good that’s exactly what is going to happen, and I am here for it.
