I still like Theo Fleury. You might not like how agro he’s become over the last 2 years but you need to understand WHY before you hate-tweet the guy with a dissenting (and 100% correct) opinion on vaccines and passports.
Imgrund isn’t wrong
Here’s the deal with Theo:
He doesn’t trust authority and he has some pretty legitimate reasons. A LOT of people who’ve been abused by an authoritative figure do and it’s coming out in their politics.
Child abuse absolutely destroys the victim’s ability to trust ANY authority. Because of the well-documented abuse he suffered at the hands of Graham James, Theo has morphed into a man whose life’s goal is to prevent authoritative abuse. This includes government mandates because he, like us, doesn’t trust our government.
It makes perfect sense to me. People who have the empathy of a fucking rock don’t care to understand Theo and while he’s 100% wrong about vaccines and passports being governmental control tools for behavior therapy, he has really good reasons to question everyone’s intentions all the time. Especially when that ‘someone’ is telling him what to do with his body. He’s been there before and he’s not about to go there again.
A LOT of conspiracy people share the same well-earned paranoia which is derived from years of being taken advantage of. Many are victims of mental, emotional, or sexual abuse at the hands of someone they want to trust, and that feeling doesn’t magically go away when victims get older.
I think it’s all crazy but I’ve been fortunate enough to NOT have my innocence stolen by a guardian so I don’t have the same hang-ups but probably would if I did.
So would you.
