Hi, it’s nice to be back. I hope to be able to blog a lot more now that my schedule has died down somewhat. What better way to start than on Canadian Thanksgiving. I am super grateful for Dean Blundell and the opportunity he has afforded me by being on his network.
In this latest BondCast, I had my live interview with Dean Blundell from when he was on Bondzee Live and turned it into a podcast. You can find BondCast right here on DBN or on any streaming service including my website www.trippinwithbondzee.com
I begin by talking about my struggles with alcohol and its effects on my life, followed by a bout of crying, followed by Dean Blundell coming and making fun of me for crying on my show. Warranted? Yes. It just wouldn’t feel right if ol Deaner wasn’t making fun of me in one way or another.
One of the most authentic, most incredible, honest talks I have had with a human being proceeded from there. Being four years sober and having changed his life, Dean had a lot of great advice and fascinating things to say about me. But I won’t dwell on that part as I don’t want to ruin the big guy’s reputation. (But folks, Dean does have a heart, and it’s like the Grinches. Three sizes too big.)
Dean Blundell isn’t the type of guy who takes praise well. Sorry but it’s too fucking bad cause he’s going to get some more from me. Since I started this journey, Dean has had my back. He’s been there to talk about my struggles with alcohol, my struggles with being alone after my son left after three weeks on the road with me. Dean gave me a platform and pumped me up on it. Not only for my show and blog’s but having me on his live pod once or twice a week has been epic for me.
So on this Canadian Thanksgiving that I was not there for, I give thanks to Dean Blundell and his cast of other misfits. I seem to and feel like I fit in quite nicely. I am also thankful for the fantastic people I have got to meet through Dean and that I can now call friends. Finally, I am grateful for all the support and love I get from the network. I hope you know how much it helps me to see that I make you all laugh and help you in whatever way that may be.
Have a great rest of your Thanksgiving weekend up there in the north, eh!! I love you and am thankful for you. Especially you, Mister Dean Blundell! Happy Thanksgiving.
