I tweeted a lot yesterday because I was couch-locked for 11 hours of sports. It’s not often you get all three pro teams in action and it’s even rarer if they all win.
I can’t remember the last time the Jays, Raptors, and Leafs all won within the same 12 hour period but I bet on it so I was all in.
Do you know how rare that is? It’s the first time it’s happened since 2002. That’s 19 years for the Chris Skys of the world.
It started with the Jays beating the literal shit out of the Texas Rangers in front of a near-sellout at Globe Life’s ‘Covid19’ Feild.
Marcus Semien and Cavan Biggio went back-to-back in the top of the second and the Jays never looked back in a 6-2 rout of the Rangers.

Steven Matz was a fucking buzzsaw in his Jays’ debut (he’s Ricky Romero’s sleeper pick for comeback player of the year) and their bullpen was lights out. Again.

After a quick trip to the grocery store and some light banter with conspiracy theorists and racist anti-masker assholes, the Raptors hosted the Wizards, which came down to Gary Trent Jr. nailing a 3 at the buzzer to ice a thrilling 103-101 come-from-behind win.

Malachi Flynn was a revelation (16 pts, 6 reb, 6 ast, 4 stl, 4 blk) Trent Jr. looked like found money and I was 2-0 on the day with a Leafs/Flames tilt starting in minutes.
Two-way IMPACT from @malachiflynn in the @Raptors win!

That’s all it took for me to have an Olympic day. Leftover pie, 3 games, and my couch. Sure, I tweeted a lot but that was a public safety issue.
Well Chris. Our analytics say that post, which went out to 12 other platforms has been read 64,123 times with over 3 million impressions. When numbers are that high, they’re less specific. Does that count in your world of external gratification? https://t.co/jvwDlJZ52N

But, what a day. I did exactly what I wanted with ZERO interruptions and never tweeted unless it was between innings, periods, or at the half, btw.
Working from home has its privileges.
