What do you get when a black bird watcher asks a white woman to leash her dog in a public place? Karen.
Oh, when Karens take a walk with their dogs off leash in the famous Bramble in NY’s Central Park, where it is clearly posted on signs that dogs MUST be leashed at all times, and someone like my brother (an avid birder) politely asks her to put her dog on the leash. pic.twitter.com/3YnzuATsDm

Christian Cooper is the man behind the camera. He’s an avid bird watcher who asked Amy Cooper (Karen) to put her dog back on a leash in accordance with central park rules.
It’s probably her first day in NY and that’s most likely the first black man she’s ever seen no naturally, Karen felt threatened by the bird watching African American.
Karen’s racist but she also looks like she has a touch of anxiety to go with that racism. That, or she’s a racist animal abuser who loves jerking her dog around for shits and giggles.
Pro tip: If you see a black person while out walking your dog off-leash and he or she asks you to leash your animal, do it. It’s not code for ‘I’m going to rob and rape you’.
It sounds crazy, but it’s true.
The woman’s name is Amy Cooper and for her racist efforts, she was forced to give her dog up for adoption and she’s lost her job at Franklin Templeton Investments. Remember that next time you plan on filing a false police report on someone for bird watching while black.
