Stephen Colbert reacts when Donald Trump calls him “a no-talent guy” after his insults directed at the President.
In an interview with Time magazine, Trump said: “You see a no-talent guy like Colbert. There’s nothing funny about what he says. And what he says is filthy. And you have kids watching.”
“And it only builds up my base. It only helps me, people like him. The guy was dying. By the way, they were going to take him off television, then he started attacking me and he started doing better. But his show was dying. I’ve done his show. But when I did his show, which by the way was very highly rated. It was high—highest rating. The highest rating he’s ever had.”
This is the best. I didn’t think it could get any better than Colbert calling Trump’s mouth Putin’s “Cock Holster”, but it did.
The other day, Trump went all in on Colbert with a shit pile of lies about Colbert dying, his ratings dying, his lack of talent, etc. The small-minded comeback from Colbert’s diatribe fits with what this shithead’s response was. Telling people it’s OK because the person who hates him is a no-talent hack is literally the only thing Trump responds with when asked about people who shit on him.
Regardless, Colbert simplistic “I won” approach is perfect. The dude with the nuke codes just said he hates you. Job done. I used to take that approach to shitting on people like Steve Simmons and Bruce Arthur. Two shitty writers who everyone hates but they take the bait and lose it all the time.
You know goofy pricks like that can’t stand criticism and they can’t help themselves. Eventually they come unglued and lose it. Might be my favourite thing to do. And Colbert mastered it.
