If you caught the show today, there is a change afoot amongst the hosts and viewers of The Dean Blundell Show.
Although Dean took the reigns and put out the tweet, Lochlin Cross was the the one who rightly quipped “We should call them terrorists.” To which Dean quickly agreed and put out a tweet to start the rebranding campaign.
I'm no longer calling Antivaxxers, Antivaxxers. They are now called domestic terrorsists.

A quick look at the definition of the term ‘Domestic Terrorist’ will confirm that the label is not far off from what this fringe minority represents;
Walking into shopping centers and yelling at fellow Canadians. Screaming at children and telling them they are going to die, or not play hockey anymore. Impeding healthcare workers from tending to critically-ill patients. These are all forms of domestic terrorism. They are iterations of putting the extremists ideology before the victim’s right to a peaceful, healthy and productive existence.
Someone Phone My Mom. I’m In A Cult.
As a huge fan and lifelong student of how the human brain works, it never ceases to amaze me that every time a crisis has unfolded in recorded history, cult-like followings form within the fringe minority. Look back at major historical events and see what I mean. Documented history going back centuries shows mouth-breathers piling into the “wrong side of history” bus, and either dying for the cause, or eventually coming to the light of reason and social consensus. It. Never. Fails! This one is no different. Cults have been woven into the fabric of pre and post modern society because of mainly three things. Ideology, Greed and Mental Illness. They all have one thing in common. A charismatic or commanding leader, and vulnerable people in an audience. That’s all it takes.
Why Changing the Label Matters
The ship of the noble anti-vax, anti-mandate and freedom fighter has long sailed. These stances have all been proven by science and by civil liberties experts as false and not valid. What does that leave? Personal ideology. In a democratic society, we agree on things in the majority. We peacefully protest things we oppose and we make changes through legislation. Anyone trying to circumvent this process is a terrorist to that democracy. No yelling at children. No accosting front-line workers. If you don’t agree with something, you take the appropriate measures to have your voice heard. You don’t get to be a petulant, uneducated potato screaming at whoever doesn’t agree with you and messing up their day.
These #DomesticTerrorists love to forget the only thing stopping the authorities from curb-stomping them into compliance is the liberties and freedoms we all currently enjoy.
It's like fighting for a drink of water while you're standing at the fountain holding up the line.
