Odds to Win the 2020 United States Presidential Election

Odds to Win the 2020 United States Presidential Election

Despite the most unprecedented, turbulent and extremely controversial presidency in the history of the United States, Donald Trump is the odds-on favorite to win the 2020 United States presidential election. Not only is he the favorite, he has moved from +250 to +140 in a little over a month. Handicappers seem to believe that he will not only see this term through but then win a second election in 2020.

In the last month, Trump has alienated some of his closest allies in the G7 by introducing tariffs and sparking a trade war. In retaliation, the EU has strategically targeted identifiably American products, such as Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, with import tariffs of their own.

Most recently, the president has initiated a public feud with Harley-Davidson, a symbol of Americana. When people think they have seen it all, they are continually mistaken.

Despite everything swirling around the real and online world, Trump and the Republican party manage to stay in power and stay afloat.

Another Celeb in the White House?

While Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has denied his interest in running, he is just behind Oprah in the celebrity odds category. You can get The Rock at +4000, and, who knows? Wrestling is known for its surprises and maybe The People’s Champ has one more left in him.

Many celebrities have come out in criticism of the president, his bombastic personality and emotionally charged policies. Some of them have even shown up as options to bet on for the 2020 presidency.

Some notable celebrity betting options are: Oprah Winfrey (+3300), Mark Zuckerberg (+6600), outspoken Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban (+8000), Jon Stewart (+10000), George Clooney (+10000), Leonardo DiCaprio (+10000) and my personal favorite, Lavar Ball at +25000.

Where is the Real Betting Value?

While none of those folks above are likely to run, let alone win the presidency, there is value to be had from this futures bet. Despite the fact that Trump has the best odds on this list, BetOnline actually has the Democrats as the favorite to win the election. A bit incongruent for sure, but that means there’s value to be had on potential Democrat nominees.

Will we feel the Bern again in 2020? Bernie Sanders has been encouraged to run by many progressive Democrats and has value on this oddsboard at +1200. Kamala Harris, a senator from California, has seen her stock rise in the Democratic party and she appears on this list at +1400, as does former vice-president Joe Biden.
