Soshnikov had flashes of skill and talent mixed with some edge and snarl.

Soshnikov was signed as a free agent by David Nonis in 2015 and has battled injuries throughout his tenure with the Maple Leafs spending time between the NHL and the AHL Toronto Marlies.

Most significant in regards to return for the Maple Leafs, it gives them one extra spot to sign players, now the team has 49 Professional contracts on the books.

More trades on the horizon?

Best of luck in St. Louis, Nikita.
