Another day, another pitcher goes down with blisters. We have a real conspiracy on our hands and the MLB has chosen to completely look the other way. The evidence is seeping out of every MLB orifice. Home run rates are reaching that of the steroid era and blisters have become a pitching epidemic. This is something we have never seen before.

Pitchers in the league are talking about it but no one will come out and say it. But I will, the balls are straight up fucking juiced. Just look around the league and see what is happening. Scooter Gennett hits for home runs in one game? I’ll give you a second to Google who the fuck he is.
Dodgers rookie Cody Bellinger was averaging a home run every 15.4 at-bats in the minor leagues and we have seen that number come down to 9.3 at-bats in the MLB. That is another home run at a rate of almost half the at-bats. Is this normal? Does a rookie come up to the bigs where they use the same bats, same balls, and the pitching skill increases 10 fold? But yet he doubles his home run pace and shows no signs of slowing down?
“It just feels like there’s been a lot of home runs being hit by guys who normally don’t hit them, or by guys who normally don’t hit them where they hit them,’’ Mets reliever Jerry Blevins said. “I’ve seen so many home runs that just don’t look normal.
“Even at our place, Jake deGrom hit an opposite-field homer. I mean, he’s a good hitter, but oppo power at Citi Field? You normally don’t see that by anybody.

Pitcher Jacob Degrom is hitting oppo tacos at Citi Field? Shit even Stroman sent one soaring the other way in Atlanta earlier in the season. Chris Archer had this to say on the matter:
“I’m staying away from my candid thoughts,” Archer said, “but I know this for a fact: Triple-A balls travel 30 less feet than the major-league ball, with the same exit velocity and launch angle.”
The league is on pace to decimate the previous home run total. With over 2,700 dongers hit already this year that puts them on a pace to hit over 6,100, a total that would dwarf the previous record of 5,693 from the year 2000. Not only is that going to crush the record, it is going to make the steroid era look like a Sunday afternoon picnic with Aunt Agatha.
Now, I’m not saying I don’t like me some extra offense. That shit is entertaining and dongers for days are always enjoyable. But for Manfred to completely deny that anything weird is going on is fucking ludicrous. I saw less evidence in the OJ documentary. Guys are murdering baseballs undoubtedly harder than OJ murdered his wife and everyone’s getting away with it.
Manfred owes the players and fans an explanation. To pretend nothing is going on is just insulting to all human intelligence. He’s clearly juiced every ball in the game other than his own set. C’mon Manfred, tell us the truth and we can all move on.
