Watching the Colin Kaepernick saga this offseason may have been the most confusing, understandable, fucked up, predictable, compelling form of present day racism I’ve been witness too.
When someone is blatantly racist, they are unusually white, vocal, and unabashed by their myopic view of humanity. Dark and shitty but at least you know they are racist, and you can move on. An entire league of white billionaires “Black Balling” a black man for taking a stance on inequality like a bunch of sneaky silent cowards, it’s grotesque and louder than loud if you read between the lines.

This week the dull, heartless Jay Cutler left a broadcasting job he hadn’t even started yet to sign with the Miami Dolphins after Ryan Tannehill (who also sucks) went down with a knee injury. I know HC Adam Gase is familiar with Cutler, but there isn’t a fucking scout alive that would take Cutler over Kaepernick in a pinch. Like EVER.
Maybe it’s the distraction factor, or maybe coaches have a book on Kaepernick that we dont but the reason Kaepernick still doesn’t have a job in the NFL escapes me unless you use the R word.
Cutler sucks as do 3/4 of the QB’s in the NFL. So tell me again, why doesn’t Kaepernick have a job?
