I’ve got to be honest, after watching the first stop of the MayMac World Tour in Los Angeles last night I wasn’t super pumped for today’s Press Conference here in Toronto. Yesterday’s event had a few good moments but was lacking that certain something that a Mayweather or McGregor typically brings when entertaining a crowd.
After watching tonight’s Press Conference, the first thing that popped into my head was a line from the cult-classic movie, Dumb and Dumber when Harry says to Lloyd, “You know, Lloyd, just when I think you couldn’t possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this…and TOTALLY redeem yourself”.
I mean what more can I say? This Press Conference had it all, great trash talk, an appearance by Drake, props and a Dana White who looked like he had popped one too many Viagra’s before the show and was about to explode. But seriously, what was with that?

My only complaint would be that shitty suit, Stephen Espinoza the Executive Vice something or other from Showtime Sports, who thought it was a good idea to give a speech that was more than simply introducing the fighters. Seriously, my man, no one knows who you are, no one cares, so get off the stage and let us watch what we all came to see.

As much as I would love to discuss and quote some of the many instant classic moments that had come from tonight’s event I figure it would go much further if I just showed you. So with further ado, here are some of the highlights of the MayMac World Tour from the 6ix:

The event then came to a close and ended with one of the more intense staredowns in recent history that was so obviously closed out with a song by Toronto’s own, Drake.
This only stops number two of the tour. We still have New York and London to go, and it’s only going to get better. The personal attacks have already begun, and you know the cuts are only going get deeper. If anything it’s only going to get more entertaining.
