If you’re not an MMA junkie like myself, then you may not be following the MMA Twitter-sphere that is blowing up at the moment as McGregor trolls Mayweather’s domestic abuse, and what has become public knowledge, as to how deep McGregor’s trash talk game is.
Let me get you up to speed.
It all started with the Golden State Warriors very own, Draymond Green, who decided to plug himself into this whole Mayweather, McGregor promotion game. In the Instagram post below Green openly shows his support for Mayweather, and tosses shade at the Notorious one himself.
What the NBA’s defensive player of the year didn’t realize was that Conor McGregor is the king of trash talk. The big man was out of his element when he decided to get into it with the man who talked his way into a $100M fight when Conor responded with the following:
“That’s C.J Watson mate. I don’t know who the fuck you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay in school.”
“Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.J when I don’t know or give a fuck about basketball. I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.”
With the question posed, people took a deeper look into why McGregor was wearing a C.J Watson jersey. What they found was that Conor’s trash talk game goes FAR deeper than what meets the eye. It’s quite the dark, and personal cut at Mayweather, explained in this Tweet by Ariel Helwani:

This isn’t the first instance that McGregor’s brought this up either. On January 11, 2017, Conor Tweeted the following:

What makes this even more impressive, and so intricate is that McGregor wore the jersey of C.J Watson from when it happened. It’s been seven years since Watson has played for the Warriors, and it’s not like he was an impact player either.
Have you ever tried to get an old jersey of one of your favorite players from when you were growing up? It’s almost impossible. Now try getting a seven-year-old jersey of a player whose best season, averaged 10 points, unreal.
Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days in county jail for battery against Josie Harris. The boxer had lashed out after Watson was allegedly sleeping with Floyd’s babies-mama. On top of it all, Mayweather ended up having to serve 100-hours of community service, as well as attend a 12-month domestic violence program.
It’s quite clear that Conor is doing his homework, not only in training but in his preparation for the mental warfare as well.
That is some next-level shit.
