No big deal, Rowdy Tellez calls his shots. As Tellez arrived at the ballpark in Dunedin Sunday, he was approached by a group of kids asking for autographs and pictures. Rowdy is always a man of the people so he gladly signed a few things and posed for a picture or two. He started chatting with one of the young idolizing kids, and Tellez let it be known he had a feeling good things were to come against the Yankees.
Rowdy Tellez told a young #BlueJays fan along the fence prior to the game that he’d hit a home run for him today.
As he jogged past him on his way out of the game:
“I don’t lie to kids.”

Tellez with the truth as Rowdy hit a deep bomb to centre field to give the Blue Jays the lead. What a moment for both Tellez and the newest president of his fan club.

Rowdy has a chance to make a huge impact in 2019. With an ageing Morales who probably won’t finish the season with the Blue Jays, Tellez will be given every opportunity to get some at-bats. This is great news for Rowdy who quickly has become a fan favourite. It’s hard to root against a man Rowdy.
