It’s easy for people to say they ‘hate’ someone. It’s the cheapest and easiest way to say someone’s an asshole and rarely comes with many qualifications.
Websters defines ‘Hate’ as: To have a great aversion to, with a strong desire that evil should befall the person toward whom the feeling is directed; to dislike intensely; to detest; as, to hate one’s enemies; to hate hypocrisy.
So, without learning much I can already tell you my hate compass points due North, and you have to do a lot to have me detest something now. I meditate regularly to get perspective and recently finished a week-long series on the importance of gratitude and the perspective it’s given me on life has been amazing so if you disagree with me, I don’t care. That’s so awesome to use ‘I don’t care’ as an empowering phrase instead of a defeated one.
Anyway, I hate Marcus and you do too, for the following reasons.
1. He’s A Baby
When I say he’s Baby, I need to qualify that, too. He’s petulant and overly concerned with what everyone thinks. Starting a clothing line about how great it is to be short, is such a hardo passive-aggressive power move, it’s ridiculous. There’s nothing Canadians hate more than some sarcastic dickhead who’s all ‘me’ and no ‘we.’ It’s too American. Watching Stroman mouth off after getting pulled yesterday, showing up a rookie coach during a season no one gives a shit about, is something a pussy would do. All ‘Me’. No ‘We’.
2. He’s A Coward
The fact that Stroman liked this tweet worries me. I wish we would just keep Stro and Sanchez. They’re still young in baseball pitching terms and great arms to build a rotation from. pic.twitter.com/0pwY99JBB5

Anyone who makes a point of saying something by definitely NOT saying it is a coward. I hate cowards.
Anytime something happens around the atmosphere around Marcus Stroman he doesn’t like, he has to blame someone, every time, all the time.
Trade utility heap, Ryan Goins?
4. His Sense Of Entitlement Is Stunning:
Marcus Stroman argued with manager Charlie Montoyo after being pulled in the 7th. Also exchanged words with Pete Walker in the dugout. pic.twitter.com/OHRWOHJwFB

3. He’s Can’t Be Told
Humility is taught or earned and clearly, Marcus Stroman’s parents never discussed that too and from a million little league games. He’s doesn’t have any sense of reality when it matters and would rather throw the baby out with the bathwater than be a fucking teammate.
Charlie Montoyo was embarrassed by a spoiled rich kid yesterday. Stroman is MLB’s equivalent Veruca Salt Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory only he has no redeeming qualities.
Canadians like guys like Johnny McDonald who plays when he’s asked goes home, does it again, and again, and again, and again. A guy who plays the game for the crest, not to sell a bunch of Joe Fresh clothes with his logo on them.
Good news. You can give him 55bucks (US) for this hat with a shitty logo about being short, though. I guess that’s ok.
It’s OK to say you hate someone if you qualify it.
I hate Marcus Stroman because he’s a selfish athlete who lacks perspective and refuses to be accountable. He’s more concerned with what’s in it for him, than the team and lies through his sarcastic teeth when he blames his extreme belief in himself. He’s never experienced real life. He’s a child. And I hate that the name of this city stretches across his chest.
It’s why you do too.
I hate all those qualities and those are the qualities that make up Marcus Stroman so that’s why I hate Marcus Stroman.
I like winners. Game winners who shut up and play the game. Like THIS GUY.
