Play stupid games, win stupid prizes
They played infected and they knew it so I don’t think any player who has followed protocol ‘hates to see it’.
Word is they couldn’t find a charter willing to fly 20 players with the plague back to Miami so the team had to rent a few buses and just like they did back in the 20s and 30s the boys are riding the bus for 18-20 hours bus with hurricane Isias scheduled to arrive at the same time tomorrow.
#Isaias update thread (1 of 4):
Hurricane conditions are expected along portions of the Florida east coast late Saturday and Saturday night, and a Hurricane Warning has been issued. Preparations to protect life and property should be rushed to completion. pic.twitter.com/snLyaH1lnz

I rode a bus for 24 hours once when I was 16 and it’s worse than a nightmare. It’s a tube of disease flying down the highway with a guy who hates his life behind the wheel. No Bueno.
The rest of the team is supposed to play this week in Baltimore unless the season gets canceled which according to Manfred today, very well might happen.
BREAKING: MLB commissioner Rob Manfred told MLBPA executive director Tony Clark on Friday that if the sport doesn’t do a better job of managing the coronavirus, it could shut down for the season, sources tell ESPN.

*SWEEET flex by Manfred blaming the players but it’s for sure their fault. They’re too horny and rich to take this seriously.
I have a sneaky feeling baseball will be the first casualty of pro sports in the pandemic age and I’m ok with it. After the jays series was canceled this weekend I just assumed MLB would tube the season and now the Cardinals have positive tests, I’m convinced it’s a really fucking bad idea to keep playing and it kills me to say that.
I don’t feel sorry for MLB owners either. They nicked and dimed the players and pushed for this too so if the league does halt operations you can blame everyone if that’s your thing.
With ZERO positive infections in the NHL and NBA Bubble’s over the past two weeks, you’ll be fine.
