Welp.
3 Cardinals tested positive for Coronavirus yesterday so the Cards Brewers game has been postponed and the team is currently under quarantine. Again.
And that’s a wrap, good try MLB. https://t.co/zynUwOkuXx

Would mean Nationals, Marlins, Blue Jays, Phillies, Brewers and Cardinals games are all postponed due to COVID-19 tonight. 20% of the league https://t.co/IIf84mawkW

That’s right, Ben. 20% of MLB scheduled games will not be played tonight because the Virus can’t be stopped. Not in a traveling league like MLB. The NBA, NHL restarts haven’t had a positive test in two weeks because of that bubble and it looks more and more like that’s the difference between finishing a season and canceling it.
The Blue Jays are idle this weekend after the two players from the Phillies roster tested positive so we currently have the Phillies, Marlins, and Cardinals on pause which can’t be good for the immediate future of Major League Baseball with the Virus now raging uncontrollably throughout the US.
The biggest flaw in MLB’s return to play was trusting players to do the right thing and stay the course with MLB distancing policies. You’re not stopping a 24-year-old with a 130 million dollar contract from inviting some IG ‘strange’ up to their hotel rooms or preventing them from going to dinner without proper PPE.
It was fun while it lasted and according to MLB insiders, you can expect MLB to seriously discuss the cancelation of the season this weekend.
The Cardinals were just in Minnesota so you can bet Target Field is now a hotspot so the Twins are fucked too.
