How can you not feel awful for David Ortiz? Truly the biggest and best of baseball’s best in my generation, Ortiz is Deity in Boston and beloved in his native DR.
According to the NY Post, it was a targeted hit by two police officers from two different precincts in Sanyo Domingo so expect them to get beat to death, next.
The 10-time All-Star and three-time World Series winner was scheduled to be transferred to a medical facility in the US on a plane chartered by the Red Sox. Officials say he’ll be treated in Boston.
It gets better. Apparently, Ortiz was shot at the direction of an unnamed drug lord who was angry because Ortiz was having intercourse with the drug lord’s wife. Got it? Ortiz was banging the wife of a drug lord and that’s why he was shot. According to the Daily Mail:
Police in the Dominican Republic believe former Boston Red Sox star David ‘Big Papi’ Ortiz was shot by two cops hired by a Dominican Republic drug lord who believed the baseball player was having an affair with his wife, DailyMail.com has learned.
Three law enforcement sources confirmed the motive on Monday as Ortiz, 43, recovered in the hospital.
The drug lord has not been named.
On Monday, Ortiz’s representative Leo Lopez denied that the shooting had anything to do with a woman but said it was the act of ‘hired’ killers.
I have no idea if this rumor is true but it certainly goes without saying if you’re going to have sex with someone’s wife, make sure it’s not a Dominican Drug Lord. Never, never, EVER.
Plumbers wife, Dr’s wife, Undertaker’s wife. You can have sex with almost anyone’s wife. ‘Drug Lord’s wife’ should be a perpetual no sex zone. I’m not saying it’s true, but what I am saying is in general, it’s bad to have sex with a drug lords wife.
Apparently, the Mistress and his Wife got into it at the hospital and this is that video. (Fairly certain there is female genitalia in the shot. Just a heads up)
Creo que las mujeres se juntaron en la clinica donde tienen a David. pic.twitter.com/8vpYyUxheK

Ortiz is expected to make a full recovery.
