This is what I woke up to today. As a Conor McGregor nuthugger, I’m like what in the actual [email protected]#%? But then I take a minute. I think about it. And I call bullshit.
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.
Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!

We’ve seen this before. He pulled this garbage with the UFC in his last negotiations with the company when he tweeted something along the lines of, “I’m retiring young, thanks for the cheese.”
It’s make-believe. It’s not real. He lied then. And he’s lying now. He’s not getting what he wants in negotiations and he’s threatening the UFC. But this time, Dana White and the UFC brass is calling his bluff.

And of course they are. Altough he’s still the biggest draw in MMA, they don’t need him at the moment. They’re rich [email protected]#$%. They just signed a seven year deal with ESPN+. So they’re sitting on guaranteed money.
Obviously they could use him. And obviously they would rather have him. But he’s asking to either be the guaranteed main event, or he wants a piece of the company but with out investing.
I love the man. But that’s not how business works. He’s a mad man. And in all honesty. As much as I want to see him continue to fight. I think he should retire too. What more does he need to do?
He’s a two-division champ. He has five of the top six highest grossing PPV’s. He has one of the two highest grossing Boxing PPV’s. And he now has a massively succussful whiskey business. He’s rich [email protected]#$%. So retire. You’ve won. You don’t need to get punched in the face for a living. You’ve beat the game.
If this is the last time we see him, thanks for the memories Champ Champ.
