Carmelo Anthony was a huge piece for the Portland Trail Blazers last season, after signing on as a free agent, and turns out next season could be much of the same.
Leave it up to TMZ to break some news, as they caught up to Anthony and asked him about his playing career. The hall-of-fame bound small forward mentioned he wasn’t going anywhere, and the only place he plans on playing is with Damian Lillard in Portland.
Anthony got his career back on track with the Trailblazers, after he was essentially blackballed out of the league. He had a couple of huge games in the playoffs including a 27-point performance and he was solid in the regular season averaging 15 points and 6 rebounds per game. If he can keep up this pace, and the Trailblazers can add one more piece up front, the team could make the jump into the ‘final four’ discussion.
The NBA is a better place with Carmelo Anthony and it appears ‘Melo isn’t going anywhere!
