The Los Angeles Clippers had their backs to the wall, trailing the series against top-seeded Utah Jazz two games to none. But then the Clips and former Raptor Kawhi Leonard went out and smoked ’em, 132-106. They covered their asses in a relatively must-win game 3 in front of the Staples Center crowd. I bet their playoff tickets probably still cost less than a mid-January Lakers game.

The Clippers knew they needed to pull out a win and who else secures those type of playoff games better than a locked-in Kawhi Leonard.
Paul George had a thirty-piece. Nic Batum did his best at trying to contain DPOY Rudy Gobert. But as Raptor fans know all too well, Leonard has that next-level gear that makes him a playoff fiend.
No stopping Kawhi 😤

He captained that floor for the Clippers and took command of that game with 34 points, 12 boards, and 5 assists. And a couple steals from the Klaw.

He put a whoopin’ on the Jazz, which is ironic considering he’d probably like jazz music. Who knows what he listens to, if he even ever listens to music. That man is only concerned about buckets and getting dubyas. And reviving New Balance basketball.

I loved watching playoff Kawhi in Toronto. He was in his bag every night. With a supporting cast that’s not nearly as reliable in LA means he’s gotta be leaned on even more. But how great was that playoff run? Watching Kawhi makes me think that he’s capable of nearly anything that’ll help his team win.

This Clips team probably ain’t it, and nothin’ like the ’19 Raps were, but it’s still fun to see Kawhi Leonard ball out.
