The Buffalo Bills have a tough matchup ahead of them, as they take on the Kansas City Chiefs. As the road team, the Buffalo Bills enter as the underdog in this battle, and it’s no surprise that many pundits around the league believe the Bills can stomp the Chiefs. Lets take a look at how the Bills can beat the Chiefs and move on to the next round in the playoffs.
CONTAIN PATRICK MAHOMES
As the Buffalo Bills begin to prepare a plan to stop Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, I believe they need to spend a significant amount of time with both the defensive linemen and the linebackers and ensure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to containing superstar QB Patrick Mahomes. It’s crucial that regardless of the play call, that the linemen and linebackers keep an extra eye out for Mahomes, as he tends to escape the pocket and make things happen on the run. I believe if the Bills can do this, and of course, place pressure on Mahomes to make quick throws, the Bills can escape Arrowhead Stadium with a win.
SCORE IN THE REDZONE
The Buffalo Bills were nothing short of astonishing in their domination of the New England Patriots. The Bills were perfect in the redzone, and this is something they are going to need to come close to if they want to beat a team as talented as the Kansas City Chiefs. If the Bills remain aggressive on offense, continue to push the ball down the field, and consistently score in the redzone, they should be able to beat the Chiefs. It’s not going to be easy, but I believe the Bills can win in a shootout with the Chiefs. Given the talent that the Bills have in the pass game, and their newly successful run game, this is a team that can compete with the best of them. If the Bills succeed in the redzone, they will win this game.
