The Toronto Maple Leafs appear to be ready to move on from goaltender Frederik Andersen. The team has been fielding a ton of calls regarding what it will take to get the Danish netminder out of Toronto, and at this point, if GM, Kyle Dubas gets his wish, it will be ex-Soo Greyhound, Matt Murray who replaces Andersen in the Leafs’ crease.
Today in the Athletic, Pierre LeBrun confirmed their interest in Murray to his paying followers, but almost a month ago, I gave it to all of you for free…..just saying.
The only way this works is if the Leafs have both deals ready to go at the same time, or yes, one after the other.
Andersen is drawing interest from all over the league’s non-playoff teams, but from all accounts, the only way the Leafs pull this off is if Andersen is dealt to a western conference team.
Sorry, Carolina but Calgary and Edmonton have the advantage on this one.
Leafs Nation – is the 26-year-old, 2-time Stanley Cup Champion our goalie of the future? If Kyle Dubas gets his wish…he will be.
