What a start to the first round for the Toronto Maple Leafs as they went into Boston and played a perfect road game. Coach Mike Babcock had one of his best games as the Maple Leaf bench boss, as he did a stellar job distributing the ice time up-front and ensuring Zaitsev and Muzzin were on as much as possible against the big 3. Mitch Marner was a force in all three zones, Freddie was steady as can be, and the 4th line had a huge impact. Before game 1, I wrote #34Reasons on why the Leafs can and will beat the Bruins, and it turns out the boys in Blue and White justified most of my reasoning in the first game alone.
What’s in store for game 2? We will all find out shortly after 8 eastern-time tonight, for now, here’s a behind the scenes look at the Maple Leafs destroying the Bruins in game 1.
