Maybe he should have gotten the vaccine.
Meh. That’s a shame.
Had he been vaccinated, this wouldn’t have happened. Or at least the likelihood of developing lifetime long haul effects like myocarditis would have been 94.7% lower.
But who’s counting now? I’m not. Unless you’re counting the 3 million Archie just lost over the next few years and the 10-15 more years he could have used to make 20-30 million more playing a game. But whatever. He made his decision and now he has to live with it while his team starts their regular season next week.

Myocarditis is an athletic death sentence. Alex Stalock, his teammate, just retired because of it so I hope Josh has a fallback plan.
Have a great SUNDAY!
Josh Archibald won’t get vaccinated and no one cares.

Josh Archibald has a choice to make: Get some counselling and get vaccinated or never play for the Oilers again. At least that’s what we’ve been told he’s been told.
Josh is slated to make 1.5 million USD this year ($2M CDN) playing with the best hockey player in the universe in McDavid. He’s refused the vaccine and says he won’t get the jab so Ken Holland is going to release him OR try to send him to Bakersfield who won’t allow unvaccinated players to play for them, so he’s fucked.
All because he thinks he knows more about the vaccine and the intentions of para-government organizations trying to vaccinate their way to a “new world order.” For real.
Josh is saying goodbye to playing a game for millions because he won’t get vaccinated despite having to be vaccinated for a million other things to play in the NHL.
Can you imagine being that mentally fucked? This guy is the lone holdout on a team full of vaccinated players who haven’t dropped dead since getting vaccinated, yet he’s not interested in getting it because he thinks he might drop dead or might become a human cell phone tower?
NHL players are geniuses but this is next-level stupidity. He’s a bubble player if he’s vaccinated, so getting rid of the unvaccinated version of him for a little cap relief is a no-brainer.
That goes for Zac Rinaldo and Tyler Bertuzzi. These guys aren’t team players and if they’re too stupid to understand basic science and care that little about their teammates and the game, other players won’t want to play with them either.
Any NHL player who thinks their singular opinion on an international health crisis is more important than the greater good does not deserve the privilege of playing in the NHL. Period, stop. If unvaccinated fans can’t watch the games in person, unvaccinated players shouldn’t be playing.
The NHLPA can fuck off too. They’ve enabled this.
Yesterday, John Tavares gave the WORST answer possible when asked about playing with unvaccinated players and the NHL’s vaccine policy. It wasn’t his fault. The PA told him how to handle it and because the PA is cratering to the wants of 15-20 anti-vaxxers, he had to stand there telling kids it’s ok not to get vaccinated and the messaging came straight from the NHLPA who are negotiating a CBA with the NHL as we speak.
Didn’t see it elsewhere but I thought John Tavares’ vaccine answer was… weird.
Started off praising the league for their protocols, etc.

You absolutely CANNOT make the argument for ‘both sides’ when your league is mandating vaccines for players, staff and fans. Again, I know Johnny T is repeating PA/Team legal talking points, but this is a major fucking problem that leaves the door open for guys like Josh Archibald to pretend they’re doing the right thing.
They aren’t. They’re just being selfish rich dicks who have no concept of objective reality.
