I know my first article was about why I think the reigning, defending Norris trophy winner Cale Makar is an excellent value play to win the Hart Trophy. While Cale is a great frontrunner as he won the Norris this past season, his Norris odds are the lowest at +185 on Fan Duel.
Last night Stars D-man Miro Heiskanen scored twice – including a breakaway goal! – was on for four Stars goals and none against, was on for 19 shots for and 7 against, all in over 25 minutes of ice time. Kid is 21 (also made his first appearance on my Norris ballot this year 👍).

But don’t sleep on Miro Heiskanen, a young but essential part of the future for the Dallas Stars.
Miro will now become Dallas’s top defensive option after longtime Star, John Klingberg split for Anaheim, Miro has already proved himself to Stars brass, having already earned an eight-year 67.6 million dollar contract in the summer of 2021.
How high is Miro Heiskanen's ceiling exactly? We know what he is capable of. Question is: will we see it? Is this year going to be his break out year?#TexasHockey #OneStateOneTeam pic.twitter.com/hi4KuXbEP4

Miro is a darkhorse but +2000 proves that he’s a great value bet,
Miro will not only be on Dallas’s first defensive line but will be an anchor on the first power play unit, something that is sure to help him create some Norris buzz for Heiskanen.
If Miro wins, your $20 wager would make you $420. Cha-ching. So buckle up and place this bet, suckerz.
