Damn. Let me take this with a grain of salt, I’ve been on the internet long enough to know that some of these beef and disputes are fully scripted for views. Skip Bayless is an asshole in every sense of the word, however, he also plays it up big time on TV for ratings.
In this situation, however, Shannon Sharpe’s feelings seem legit. For some context, Shannon Sharpe bailed on the show yesterday and we could only assume it was because of Damar Hamlin’s injury coupled with Skip Bayless’ horrible take on the situation.
No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.

Shannon, an ex-player and wanted the beginning of the show to air his grievances and explain why he took yesterday off and Skip couldn’t even let him get through the opening monologue without interrupting. Which then pissed off Shannon and made him go off. It makes for great TV and a lot of people will tune in to see this altercation.
In my opinion, Hamlin’s health is the #1 priority but Skip’s tweet is not as bad as everyone has made it out to be, it was ill-timed and short sited and because it’s Skip it is magnified but the NFL is in a very tough situation right now to try and figure out what do with this game. In any case, this show was appointment-watching today and did not disappoint.
