The battle between LIV Golf and the PGA continues to wage on, and washed-up Phil Mickelson loves his spot on LIV.

Since joining LIV, Mickelson has cracked the top 10 and the top 20 twice. Besides that, he’s near the bottom of the top 40. At this point of his career, Mickelson is way more of a name than he is a competitor. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t think he’s on the right side of the fight.
“I see LIV Golf trending up upwards, I see the PGA TOUR trending downwards, and I love the side that I’m on,” Mickelson said Thursday ahead of LIV Golf’s event in Saudi Arabia, per Golf Magazine’s Josh Berhow.
I have zero issues with LIV Golf, and the PGA needs just to work harder to compete. However, I hate guys like Mickelson, who jumped ship but still wanted the right to play in all the majors. I’d also be shitting my pants if I was Phil. The more guys who jump to LIV, the more Mickelson becomes expendable. It’s about the ratings, and no golf fan has given a shit about Phil in a long time.
Mickelson has always seen himself at the same level as Tiger Woods. Phil was an excellent supporting actor, but Tiger was always the star. I don’t care what Phil thinks, and he will learn that his old ass won’t be needed much longer.
