Blue Jays fans can’t wait for the second week of April when Vladdy will get the call and the new era of Blue Jays baseball will begin. There’s a very small chance he breaks Spring Training with the club, but don’t expect that as that would burn a year and Team Shatkins are worried they won’t be able to re-sign him, so they need as many years as possible. Vlad was quoted in Arizona last month when asked about making his debut in the Majors, and basically said he’s waited all his life to play in the bigs, what’s three more weeks.
As expected Vladdy Jr is tearing up the Arizona Fall League, and has been recently named the best prospect in Baseball.
So naturally, as you begin your preparation to get acclimated to a new country, you should learn not only learn the language, but also Canada’s National Anthem.
This is where Stubby Clapp steps in.
Canadian Clapp is helping coach down in Arizona this fall, and the most ironic part about all this, Clapp recently phone interviewed for the Blue Jays managerial vacancy. So he wasn’t good enough to manage Vladdy’s playing time, but he’s a Canadian beauty, and Clapp knows, Vladdy is going to need to put in a shift on those vocals:
Blue Jays prospect rankings and scouting reports are up today at Baseball America.
